Data ownership and data use: our agreement with you
This is the agreement between you and FairGrow, a trade name of EasyData B.V., about your data. It forms part of our terms of service. Where the terms say otherwise, this agreement applies.

What counts as your data
Sensor readings, field and crop records, crop protection records, drone images, photos, reports and settings that you or your sensors record in FairGrow.
It is yours
Your data is and remains yours, or that of the business you use FairGrow for. We may only use it to provide FairGrow to you: store it, calculate with it and show it.
No selling
We do not sell your data. We do not pass it to third parties for commercial purposes. Not anonymised, not aggregated and not for benchmarks.
Sharing only with your permission
If an adviser, bank or insurer wants access, that is only possible with your permission, per type of data. You can withdraw that permission at any time.
Where your data is kept
On our own servers in a Dutch data centre, under the GDPR. There is one temporary exception: the AI features below.
AI features
We are developing our own AI technology, which will run on our own servers. Until it is ready, we do not want to hold the smart features back from you. That is why “Ask FairGrow”, the plant scan and the “In plain language” option in the weekly report temporarily use AI from Anthropic, a US provider. What you enter in those features is therefore processed outside the EU: your question, your photo, or for the weekly report the figures for that week and the name of your location. Anthropic does not use this data to train AI models.
Your sensor data, plots and crop records otherwise stay on our servers. If you do not use these features, nothing is sent to Anthropic. The weekly report option is only switched on once you give permission for it. As soon as our own AI is ready, we will switch over and update this agreement.
Export and deletion
You can always export your data in open formats (CSV and JSON). If you cancel, we delete your data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something longer.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. A log of partner access through our API is kept for 7 days.
Changes
If we change this agreement, we tell you in advance. A change never applies retroactively to data you have already recorded.
