Cookie policy
How and why FairGrow uses cookies.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how FairGrow uses cookies and similar technologies on our website.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website function and remember your preferences.
Which cookies we use
These are set as soon as you open the site, because without them the site doesn’t work or can’t remember your choices:
- metis_lang remembers which language you view the site in.
- cookieConsent remembers the choice you made in the cookie notice, for a year. Without it we would ask you that question again on every page.
- fg_sid and fg_vid are part of our own visitor log. The first lasts half an hour and links the pages of your current visit; the second is a random number kept for a year so we recognise a return visit from the same browser. What we record with them is described in our privacy policy. That data stays with us: it is not shared with anyone else and is deleted after three months.
- If you are logged in to the platform, WordPress also sets a session cookie. Without it you cannot stay logged in.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics counts how many people visit the site and which pages they view. Those cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by a string) are placed only once you consent to them in the cookie notice. Choose “Necessary only” or do nothing, and they are not set.
We don’t use advertising cookies, and the notice has no marketing option: FairGrow shows no ads anywhere, so there is nothing to choose.
What we load from other servers
Two things on this site come from someone else’s server. They set no cookies, but your browser does contact them, and your IP address is visible to that party:
- the flags in the language picker come from flagcdn.com;
- the fonts come from fonts.googleapis.com.
If you want to prevent that too, block those domains in your browser or with a blocking extension.
Legal basis
Technically necessary cookies and preference cookies require no consent, because the site needs them to work or to remember your choice. For Google Analytics we do ask for that consent, through the cookie notice at the bottom of the screen.
Change your choice
Changed your mind? Open the cookie notice again and pick what you want. Your current choice stays until you choose something else.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect how the platform works.
