How do I get to Royal FloraHolland, and what do I have to comply with?
A clear, step-by-step route for growers who want to sell flowers and plants on the international market. We show you exactly where you stand, what is required, and give you the logbooks to get there.
Your route to the international market
Six steps. Every grower follows the same path, whatever the size of the farm.
- 🏢1 Register your farm A registered business, products of your own, and a Floriday account on the marketplace.
- 🧭2 Know your route Your country decides which FSI pillars apply: GAP and Environment always, Social only in risk countries.
- 📝3 Log your data Record water, fertilisation, crop protection and energy per application, every period.
- ✅4 Choose a certificate MPS or GLOBALG.A.P. - or a low-cost small-scale scheme if your turnover is under EUR 250,000.
- 🔎5 Pass the audit An independent certifier (Control Union, SGS, Ecas) checks your records on-site.
- 🎉6 Certified - and exporting You are FSI-compliant and can offer, trade and settle via Royal FloraHolland.
What you must comply with: the 3 FSI pillars
Royal FloraHolland requires FSI certification (Floriculture Sustainability Initiative). The "Basket of Standards" has three pillars - think of them as control domains, like in an ISO framework.

Environment
Crop protection products, energy, water, fertilisers and waste.
Accepted: MPS-ABC, GLOBALG.A.P.-IDA, Skal (organic).
Social
Working conditions, human rights and ILO labour standards.
Required only in FSI risk countries: amfori BSCI, SMETA, GRASP.
